This fall, Williams Sonoma
brand will enter into its sixth year of supporting No Kid Hungry. These years
have been a meaningful journey for all of us, as together we committed to
connecting children in need to healthful meals all across the country - in the
communities where our customers shop and in the neighborhoods where our
associates live.
Williams Sonoma has helped raise $3.1 million to support No Kid Hungry in the
past five years. That translates to 31 million meals where kids live learn, and
play, and includes healthy breakfast served to children in schools all across
America. This is critical because statistics have shown that children who start
the day off with a healthy meal can improve their test scores by up to 20%.
Williams Sonoma has set a goal to raise $2 million dollars in 2017, which will
provide 20 million more meals for children in need. These are changes that will
impact our future generations, and I could not be more proud of this work we
are doing to end childhood hunger.
