TELL CONGRESS: Protect Kids from Hunger

The U.S. House of Representatives just released its proposed Farm Bill, the legislation that governs a wide array of agriculture and food programs, including SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

This bill would be detrimental to kids nationwide and we need your help. Write to your Representative in Congress today and urge them to vote NO on a Farm Bill that undermines SNAP and hurts kids.

Personalizing your letter below will go further. To make your message more effective, please share why it’s important to you to support families and kids in your community.

Vote NO on the House Farm Bill

Dear [Decision Maker],

But the Farm Bill proposal being considered in the House right now only stands to harm families and children.

Limiting future updates to the Thrifty Food Plan -- which helps SNAP benefit levels keep pace with the cost of food and how families live and eat -- comes at a steep price. According to the Congressional Budget Office, not only would it cut SNAP and other nutrition programs by nearly $30 billion over the next decade, it would also threaten to cut $500 million in summertime grocery benefits through the new Summer EBT program.

I urge you to vote NO on this Farm Bill proposal. Kids and families are counting on you.

Sincerely,
